Job Description

  • Lead the drivetrain team responsible for sizing and integration of the electric drivetrain including controllers and traction motors.

  • Define electric drivetrain system controls and configurations.

  • Define the interface requirements for all systems interacting with the electric drivetrain kit.

  • Modelling, developing and testing of power electronics systems, including the development of test and validation plans at all levels up to full vehicle.

  • Design and analysis of electric vehicle HV and LV power distribution networks.

  • Responsible for the delivery of electrical drawings and harnesses.

  • Collaborate with cross functional engineering teams to innovate, assess tradeoffs and converge on reliable solutions.

  • Provide leadership and interface closely with the engineering stakeholders including product, quality, plant and customers.

  • Work closely with suppliers on design and performance requirements of the drivetrain system components.

  • Facilitate product delivery according to relevant technical standards.

  • Manage design for manufacturing processes, product design process, as well as preparing and holding design reviews.

  • Support in defining the engineering operating system that ensures design at quality and speed.

You are:

  • BSc/MSc Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 7+ years experience.

  • Deep knowledge of electrical machines, power electronics, automotive traction batteries and motors and AC drives components.

  • Experience using Autocad and Matlab / Simulink Simulation.

  • OEM/Tier 1 experience with electric drivetrains on system level.

  • Experience working with high power electric and hybrid powertrains.

  • Experience of component testing and design of tests.

  • Experience working in electro-mechanical product design.

  • Deep understanding of electrical fundamental principles.

  • Full understanding of electric vehicles different concepts of operation.

  • Electric circuits design and simulations experience, as well as strong control theory knowledge.

  • Electric Machines modelling and analysis experience is a plus.

  • Knowledge of battery management systems is a plus.

  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
