ABOUT SHIFT EV:

Shift EV is a fast-growing electric vehicle technology company, based in Cairo, Egypt. Our vision is to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles in Egypt and the region by developing state-of-the-art electric drivetrain solutions. Today, we are the leading fleet electrification platform in Egypt and emerging markets: our electrofitting technology allows delivery vehicles to become electric in a few hours for a fraction of the cost of a new EV. YOU’LL WORK ON:

Managing the People & Culture team, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. 

YOU'LL HAVE OWNERSHIP OVER:

  • Defining, setting and maintaining a culture of high performance and long-term commitment in collaboration and partnership with a very engaged executive team

  • Personnel & compliance, building on the team’s success in building strong HR processes, an HRIS-centric system and enforcing compliant policies.

  • Employee experience, from onboarding & office experience to performance management and engagement.

  • Compensation & Benefits, with support from the Finance team on ensuring our team’s needs are met.

  • Learning & development, to support our team members on their professional development journeys.

  • Mentorship of the People & Culture team to grow team members into their full potential. 

  • Managing Talent Acquisition, serving the entire company, from engineering & product to manufacturing and sales. 

  • Employer branding, in collaboration with the Marketing team, to position Shift EV as a leading employer of choice.


YOU ARE

  • A high performance and commercially savvy people & culture professional, who is able to partner with the business on success.

  • A strong & competent manager with experience driving high performance in P&C teams.

  • An empathetic and curious leader who is able to master their biases and drive change

  • Deeply knowledgeable about the different aspects of the P&C function with a track record of success to show it

  • Experienced in corporate & startup environments with a mindful understanding of the balance of process & agility
