You will join Shift EV’s process engineering team. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Manufacturing Process Engineer to oversee the electro-fitting production process. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and managing the electro-fitting processes to ensure high efficiency, quality, and safety standards.
Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of the electro-fitting production processes.
Lead production line pilots, production ramp-up support, productivity and efficiency improvements.
Conduct DFA (Design for Assembly) reviews for new products / product releases.
Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and visual aids.
Develop PFMEA for the different processes, proposing & implementing risk mitigation actions.
Create and maintain production master data on SAP including BoM, BoO & production models.
Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of new processes, technologies, and equipment
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and recommend solutions to optimize production throughput.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing operations, and supply chain, to ensure seamless production operations.
Manage process validation and qualification activities to ensure reliable and scalable manufacturing processes.
Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements in all process engineering activities.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering, with a focus on automotive production processes.
Proficiency in manufacturing software and tools, such as CAD/CAM, ERP systems, and statistical analysis software.
The ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics and layouts.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing principles, and quality control methodologies.
Experience in using data analysis & visualization softwares.
Knowledge in Handling & tooling is a plus.
Proven track record of leading process improvement projects and driving operational excellence.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
