We are seeking an EV Control System Lead to drive the development and integration of vehicle control systems. You will define system architectures, oversee VCU development, and ensure compliance with safety and automotive standards. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders, including suppliers and consultants.
Define the vehicle systems control architecture and system requirements for the Vehicle Control Unit (VCU).
Lead the VCU development cycle, including hardware selection and software development.
Oversee vehicle system integration with the VCU and define interfaces with OEM ECUs.
Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 Functional Safety requirements.
Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and consultants to drive system development.
Perform functional testing and vehicle-level validation to ensure system performance.
Ensure compliance with automotive safety and environmental standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or related field) with 5+ years of experience in vehicle control system development.
Expertise in vehicle control system design.
Strong understanding of the hardware and software aspects of EV systems.
Experience with control strategy development, modeling, simulation, integration, and vehicle-level testing of components and systems in EVs.
Experience in developing vehicle control units (VCU).
Experience with Model-Based Design (MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow).
Proficiency in Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, CAPL scripting) and SAE J1939 interfaces.
Experience with HIL testing and functional testing of vehicle components
Experience with SAE J1939 interfaces.
Experience with ISO 26262 Functional Safety requirements.
Experience with system modeling tools (UML, SysML).
Familiarity with automotive industry standards and software development cycles.
Familiar with embedded software development for vehicle control units.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to lead teams and drive projects.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex control system issues.
