Shift EV is a fast-growing electric vehicle technology company, based in Cairo, Egypt. You will work with world-class technology veterans from MIT, the University of Grenoble, Intel, and Corning to build a venture with transformative potential.
YOU’LL WORK ON:
Managing the lifecycle of our prototype and first of samples of our various products and components.
Improving our prototyping capabilities to improve our turn-around time for the build products and components.
Managing the prototyping team and facilities to ensure the successful and rapid prototyping of our parts and products.
YOU'LL HAVE OWNERSHIP OVER:
Managing the entire lifecycle of a prototype, from the initial idea to the final testing and feedback: wiring harness, mechanical fixtures, as well as whole vehicles.
Work closely with the Engineering team to rapidly build designs of the designed components and products as well as provide on-going technical training to engineering community as needed
Review work requests, drawings or prints, set meetings with requestor to plan implementation and testing when needed
Provide coaching and direction to engineering team and technicians to meet deliverables
Perform advanced engineering support functions including, but not limited to DFMEA, testing and in collaboration with engineering project teams
Manage rapid fabrication and assembly to build first-of-samples of our parts and products in the engineering workshop and using company prototyping and production capabilities
Manage and coordinate the resources, budget, and timeline for the prototype development, and ensure that the quality standards and best practices are followed
Recognize future needs and manage our prototyping facilities and ensure the tooling improvement to increase our prototyping speed, capabilities and capacities.
Ensuring the deployment, motivation, skills improvement and overall management and restructuring of the team.
YOU ARE:
Education Background: Mechanical Engineering ( Design and production )
7+ years of experience
Software Skills: Solidworks, Ansys and AutoCAD
Technical Skills: 3D Modelling - Workshop drawing - Stress Analysis
Aware with the Chassis, Suspension System, Stirring, Breaks and Vehicle dynamic
